​The house is set on a waterfront acreage ... on Burlo Island - in the Bamfield Harbour.

The peace and privacy of our shoreline setting nestled amongst the trees and waterways defines serenity.

Your human neighbours will be lights twinkling through the trees at night ... about a mile away and across the inlet.

 

Closer to home you'll find your indigenous neighbours, the region's wildlife.
 

Sea creatures of all sorts. From seals and otters to birds and ducks all are commonly viewed from the front deck of the house or dock.

Eagles, Osprey, Kingfisher and Herons vie for your attention. With Hummingbirds and songbirds also in abundance.

In quiet times deer, raccoon, mink and even 'Mr. Bear' are known to pass by, and sometimes loiter in the yard.

 

A private dock in tranquil water provides everchanging underwater views to rival an aquarium.

 

​The house is approximately 15 years old and was custom designed and built for year round family accommodation. It has all the comforts of home with a twist or two.

​

With 4 bedrooms (3 with queen sized beds and 1 with bunkbeds), 2 queen sized foldouts in the spacious livingroom and 2 bathrooms (with soaker tubs) there's plenty of room for your group to sleep and relax.

​

A fully supplied kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, a selection of spices, other staples and utensils make it easy to prepare gourmet meals or snacks.

​

Set 25 feet from the high tide mark the house is in a pristine location and provides an ever-changing vista of nature.  A wrap around deck, windows and skylights give plenty of natural light and views of the outdoors and landscape.
 

With 2500 square feet and an open floor plan that utilizes gentle angles there are several distinct areas of activity.  The placement of many large windows, use of natural colors and oiled tongue and groove cedar wainscoting and ceilings combine to bring the outdoors ... inside.

On the main floor a livingroom and dining room are facing the lagoon and separated from the kitchen by a large countertop island and stool seating. The main bathroom and master bedroom are nestled next to the upstairs staircase.
 

A large utility and laundry room are at the rear of the house.

Upstairs a central foyer with vaulted ceilings is the focal point and branches off to 3 bedrooms and a bathroom.
